Required Ingredients for cake
- 1 cup of unsalted butter (cut into pieces)
- 1/3 cup of All-Purpose Flour
- 8 oz. Bittersweet Chocolate (chopped)
- 1 cup of Sugar
- 4 large Eggs
- ¾ tsp of Kosher Salt
Required ingredients for Glaze and Assembly
- 8 oz. Bittersweet Chocolate (finely chopped)
- ¼ cup of unsalted Butter (cut into small pieces)
- ½ tsp of Kosher Salt
- ½ cup of Sugar (powdered)
- ½ cup of Red Wine
Preparation
- First of all, preheat the oven to 325 °C. Now, add slightly butter and flour over the pan.
- Heat chocolate, sugar and 1 cup of butter in a heatproof bowl set over a saucepan of simmering water, stirring then, until chocolate is almost completely melted, around 3 minutes.
- Remove it from the heat and let them cool completely.
- Now, add the eggs to chocolate mixture 1 at a time and beat the mixture using an electric mixer on medium speed after each addition. Beat, till mixture has a mousse-like consistency.
- After that, add salt and ½ cup of flour, mix until smooth. Scrape batter into prepared pan, smoothes the top.
- Bake the cake, till the top is firm and edges are slightly darkened, around 55-65 minutes.
- Now, transfer the pan to a wire rack and let the cake cool completely in a pan.
- For glazing, heat chocolate, butter and salt in a heatproof bowl set over a saucepan of simmering water. Stir them, till the chocolate and butter are melted completely, around 5 minutes. Mix it with powdered sugar.
- In between, bring wine to just to boil in a small saucepan.
- Now, remove the chocolate mixture from the heat and whisk in the wine.
- Bake, which is on a wire rack. Set this over a rimmed baking sheet.
- Pour the glaze over cake and spread it across the top and also cover the edges with the help of a spatula.
- Keep the cake at the room temperature, until the glaze set.
