Fried Idli is one of the most favorite snacks of all, which is the best variation made up with fresh Idli’s or leftover Idli’s. It is a wonderful snack for your tea time by adding so many ingredients that makes it so much tasty, that increase your appetite more. It’s generally happened that, some idlis are left and the better way to use them to prepare the fried Idli, which hardly take 15-20 minutes.

Directions for making fried Idli:
Required Ingredients
- 8 to 10 Idli’s
- 1 cup of finely chopped capsicum (Shimla mirch)
- 1 cup of finely chopped tomato
- 1 cup of finely chopped onion
- 2 green chilies (finely chopped)
- 1/2 tsp mustard seeds (Rai)
- 1/4 tsp red chili powder
- 1/2 tsp turmeric (Haldi) powder
- 2 to 3 tbsp tomato sauce or chili sauce
- 1/2 cup of coriander leaves (finely chopped)
- Salt according to taste
- Oil for cooking
Method
- First of all, cut the Idli’s into medium pieces in a bowl and keep it aside.
- Now, heat the oil in the wok (kadahi), add mustard seeds, finely chopped capsicum and onion into it.
- Fry them properly. After it, add finely chopped tomato and chilies into the mixture and sprinkle turmeric powder and salt over it.
- Stir well and fry them for about 10 minutes until tomato become soft.
- Pour the Idli’s over the mixture and stir well.
- Now, sprinkle the tomato sauce or green chili sauce over it and mix it well.
- Garnish it with finely chopped coriander leaves and serve it.
