IRCTC Joins hands with OYO Rooms to Deliver Hotel Service
Nowadays, IRCTC is continually working to provide better services to the railway passengers. Now the organization is aiming at its next agenda, which is related to hotel service and for that it has aired a partnership with a private chain of hotels, OYO Rooms. Through this, commuters can do hand to hand booking for the rooms easily.
This partnership shows the growing leverage and also the strong communication between the government and homegrown Indian businesses to drive the next wave of innovation. Speaking on this venture, Dr. AK Manocha, CMD of IRCTC commented,
“We are committed to drive efficiencies and enhance our service through innovation. OYO Rooms has propelled the hotel market in India towards the new horizon and pioneered the standardization of affordable hotel rooms. This partnership contributes another chapter to the successful narrative of “Made in India” initiatives and how tech-enabled solution will power the next wave of innovation. We have made the necessary technology integrations and will be actively communicating about this newly available option through e-mailers, information on-e-tickets so that our travelers can explore and utilize these services”.
Passengers can book hotel rooms across 170 cities in the country, where nearly 45,000 rooms will be offered. This service will witness around 5 to 5.5 Lacs booking per day on an average.
