Thanksgiving Turkeys Recipe
Required ingredients
- 1 cup of semisweet Chocolate Chips
- 30 Candy Corn Candies
- 6 White Tips of Candy Corn
- 6 Chocolate Sandwich Cookies
- 6 Mini Peanut Butter Cups
- 6 Malt Balls
- 1 cup of Red Frosting
- 6 Chocolate Sandwich Cookies with top cookies removed
Required ingredients for Red Frosting
- ½ stick of Unsalted Butter
- 1-1/2 cups of Powdered Sugar
- ½ tsp of Pure Vanilla Extract
- 2 tbsp of Milk
- Red food coloring, as required
How to prepare Thanksgiving Turkeys
- Put the chocolate chips in a medium glass bowl or stainless steel.
- Place the bowl over a saucepan of slightly simmering water. Cook it and stir occasionally, until the whole chocolate melts for around 4 minutes. Set aside for cooling.
- To make each Turkey, push 5 candy corn candies, tip-side down, into the cream filling for a chocolate sandwich cookie to prepare the feathers of the turkey.
- Now, dip the flat, larger end of a peanut butter cup in the melted chocolate. Place the peanut butter chocolate dipped end down onto the sandwich cookie.
- Dip a malt ball into the melted chocolate, allowing any excess chocolate to drip back into the bowl. Place the malt ball above the peanut butter to make the head of the turkey.
- After that, dip the flat end of the white candy corn tip in the chocolate. Place on the malt ball, to make the turkey beak. Refrigerate, till the chocolate set.
- Now, put the Red Frosting in a piping bag. Using scissors, cut a small opening in the end of the piping bag.
- Pipe a small piece of frosting under the malt ball to make the turkey’s beard.
- Place a cookie on a plate and stand the turkey upright into the cream filling.
- Thanksgiving Turkey is ready to serve.
How to prepare Red Frosting
- Add butter in a medium sized bowl and beat it by using an electric hand mixer.
- Add the powdered sugar, vanilla extract and milk. Again beat them, until combined.
- Now, color the frosting at a time, till the desired color is reached.
