A good news for the passengers!! 🙂 Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Ltd. (IRCTC) is now planning to open a swanky lounge at 16 major railway stations across the country. The lounge will be opened soon, providing hotel like lavish facilities to the passengers. The first such lounge is already set-up at New Delhi station three years ago and acquires a big hit with the stay of lots of passengers.
This lounge will be set-up in Sealdah, Howrah, Patna, Dhanbad, Ajmer, Darbhanga, Puri, Bhubaneswar, Bilaspur, Vishkhapatnam, Ahmedabad, Secundrabad, Jaipur, Nagpur, Kathgodam, and Vijayawada. The IRCTC officials expect that the door of the lounge will be opened within a year. It includes classy decor, high-end furniture, and various amenities, such as wash and change chambers, WiFi, Internet, live TV, music, buffet services, newspaper, book stalls, train information system, concierge service for passengers.
It has been observed by the IRCTC that the response of the Delhi Lounge is very good and it also accomplished the needs of every customer. Passengers would pay for services such as food and other beverages, which are available at very low prices, while welcome drink that is tea or coffee and WiFi will be provided at free of cost. The lounge located at Delhi station has a capacity to accommodate 125 passengers at a time and for 3 hour stay, it takes INR 300 that can be afford by most of the customers.
