Hi everyone, I m owning fazer fi from about 2 months and I hv to travel 130km daily from it. believe me it is most comfortable and best option for such tours without any type of strain. I m getting 55kmpl mileage for speed below 70kmph, more than 70kmph it will give 45kmpl.
Hii unni with my point of view please go for pulsar 220F DTSi even you can take a test drive of it & fell the comfort.
For long tours, I believe following matters
A. Power: A good 250-300cc bike with more than 25 BHP is best for Indian roads. At least a 20BHP machine is a must. The bike should accelerate fast upto 60-70kmph & on good roads should easily maintain 100-110kmph.
B. Mileage: A bike in 200-300cc range will give about 25-35kmPL average, which should be good enough.
Hello,
I’ve been riding CBR 250R for the past two years and below are some of the rides that I’ve done in 2015.
1) Chennai – Mumbai – 1330 kms.
2) Mumbai – Nasirabad – Godhra – 1610 kms (SaddleSore)
3) Mumbai – Goa – Mumbai – 1290 kms (have done this thrice)
4) Mumbai – Rishikesh – Mumbai – 3460 kms
5) Mumbai – Bhutan – Guwahati – Chennai – 6000 kms approx (have done this twice).
In these two years I’ve done 60,000 kms and I have absolutely no worries or complaint about this fine touring machine. I had been servicing the bike every 6000 kms and oil change every 3000 kms.
I had been and will always vouch for Honda CBR 250R as the best touring machine.
Hi Venkat,
I am planning to get cbr 250r abs. I drive 30 kms to and fro from home to office. Currently i am owning Thunderbird 350cc(not satisfied with top speed). Is its a good option to switch to CBR? How much mileage can i expect on mixed traffic and highway rides?
Thanks,
Mukesh
On City: 25 to 29 KMPL Approx
