Surat: Diamond city residents now can enjoy some more fun alongside the varieties of bhajans at the most popular beach in Surat, the Dumas Beach. Gujarat has launched its first floating restaurant at Kadi Falia in Dumas’s Mahadev Ovara. This fresh initiation is certainly going to offer an amazing dining experience to all the globetrotters across the world and obviously to the food loving Surtis.
Interestingly designed and themed as a Pirates ship, the eatery has got its name as ‘Pirates Voyage’. As per the dimensions, the floating container is 30 meters long and 12 meters wide. Comprised with lower and upper decks, the restaurant can hold up to 200 guests. The approximate cost of the floating restaurant is around INR 8 crore.
“The floating vessel is right on the Dumas beach at Kadi Falia. The water is shallow and when there is high tide, the vessel floats. We have sought the permission from the Gujarat Maritime Board (GMB) to sail deep in the sea to give a unique dining experience to the people in the midst of the sea. All process has been completed and we are awaiting the permission shortly” says owner of Pirates Voyage, Mitul Mahesh Savani.
He thinks the diamond city should be refreshed with some recreational facilities. This unique floating restaurant will revive the residents and make them relish a new aura around.
