The new Chevrolet Trailblazer gets a very butch looking exterior as its design is a mix of typical Chevrolet SUV styling with a healthy dose of soft-roader like design cues giving it enough street presence to please most buyers. The rear is a bit similar to that of the Fortuner with simple rectangular tail lamps and wrap around glass area. In the interiors, Chevrolet Trailblazer looks much more modern than the Fortuner whose interior appears outdated.

Both the SUVs come with a 7-seater arrangement and are dimensionally identical. The interiors of Trailblazer have the finishing of black and beige and there a touchscreen infotainment system mounted on the center console.
Dimensionally, the Trailblazer is a sizeable SUV and is almost 100mm longer and 60mm wider than the Fortuner that measures 4,705mm long, 1,840mm wide and stands 1,850mm tall and in terms of the wheelbase the Trailblazer stands on top in comparison to Fortuner. The former has a wheelbase of 2,845mm whereas Fortuner has a wheelbase of 2,750mm and in terms of ground clearance, the two-wheel-drive Trailblazer leads at 241mm, followed by the Fortuner with a ground clearance of 220mm.

Being equipped with a 6-Speed automatic transmission, Chevrolet Trailblazer can easily attain its top speed lying in the range of 190 to 195 Kmph with its 2.8-litre powered engine and can also cross the 100 Kmph mark from a standstill in just 11 seconds.

The 2.5-litre engine with a five-speed manual and automatic gearbox allows Fortuner to attain a top speed of 170 and 180 Kmph and it can accelerate from 0-100 Kmph in the time span of 13-15 seconds.
The next variant of 3.0-litre engine allows the vehicle to zoom towards a top speed of 176 Kmph. Its four-wheel drive version takes about 9.61 seconds for crossing the speed barrier of 100 Kmph from a standstill. While two-wheel drive variants can cross the speed mark of 100 Kmph in close to 14.5 seconds.
