Two Fast Food Brands are Aiming to Open their Outlets soon in India
The segment Quick Service and Fast Casual Restaurants of India has been already seen with the fast growth of many international and domestic- grown brands. And, in this fast growth, two more brands will have added, which expand their more outlets soon. Sbarro, a popular restaurant chain, that is famous for its New York style pizza globally. The restaurant will be starting around 50 branches in India by mid 2016.
Mr. Akhil Puri, CEO of North and East India, Sbarro and CEO of Jyoti International Food informed that,
“In the northern region itself, the company is planning to open about seven stores by 2015. The brand has about 50 outlets in the pipeline to be operational by 2016, with around 20 outlets to be functional by the end”.
Sbarro has been already opened a 15th outlet on 13 March, 2015, in Bandra, Mumbai. There have three franchises in India for north and east, west and southern region and also Sbarro will be soon initiating training centers in all three franchise regions to provide the same quality standards across all their outlets.
On the other hand, one of the most famous restaurant chains, Pizza Express, which will be expanding their business by opening 50 outlets in the country in the upcoming five years. Mr. Ramit Bharti Mittal, head, business development, Gourment Investments, said,
“Being in the premium casual dining space, and unlike a QSR or fine dining segment, we want to create a benchmark for our brand and quality casual dining pizzas”.
