Switch to Lead-Free Noodles with Baba Ramdev “Ayurvedic Maggi”
The wait is over for the Maggi lovers as Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev’s instant noodles “Patanjali Maggi” has now entered the Indian market. A few months ago, he has announced the launch of its new product, because to capture the lost market of Maggi noodles. Nestle “2-minute” Maggi noodles?had been taken off shelves after food regulator FSSAI found the excess of lead content and taste enhancer MSG in it.
Nestle with the tag-line of 2-minute noodles, the Patanjali team has also rephrased the punchline of its Ayurvedic Maggi noodles as “Jhat pat pakao, aur befikr khao” (Cook quickly and eat fearlessly) and claimed that the product contains no MSG and lead.
Baba Ramdev stated for the Patanjali noodles,
“We will launch Patanjali noodles on October 15. It will be made from whole wheat flour (atta), not like other companies noodles which are made up of maida and have only 10 per cent atta”.
He further commented,
“Our noodles will be available at INR 15, and whereas other used to sell it for INR 25 and its taste-maker will be a health maker”.
Moreover, Nestle had challenged to FSSAI for retesting the Maggi as the Bombay High Court, which rejected the order of taking the product off shelves and order for a retest. And, it is being expected to relaunch by December.
