The commuter cum sports motorcycle is becoming the first choice of riders, whether it is 150cc or 200cc motorcycles. The Suzuki Gixxer SF and Yamaha Fazer FI Version 2.0 are probably two most performance oriented motorcycles that almost share same engine capacity (CC) and power output. The Suzuki Gixxer SF is a fully faired version of its naked sibling, Gixxer, that has been designed against to its rivals.

Style:

The Suzuki Gixxer SF is a fully faired motorcycle which looks very beautiful from every step of the way. The fairing of Gixxer SF is inspired by its track-based racing motorcycle GSX-R, that stands apart it from the crowd of premium faired motorcycle. The motorcycle has an angular headlight, muscular fuel tank, single-piece seat contributes to making its sportier appearance. The Yamaha Fazer FI Version 2.0 is a quarter-liter motorcycle from the Yamaha Motor, which is an upgraded version of Fazer FI. The motorcycle has wolf-shaped twin headlights, black visor, puffed-shape fuel tank and split seats that give muscular appealing to the motorcycle. This version comes in new shades which looks different than its existing version. The rear section has a compact braking light and split grab rails. The motorcycle features a fully digital instrument console that really looks very impressive. The instrument console comprises a speedometer, tachometer, trip meter and a fuel gauge.

The Gixxer SF is powered by 155cc engine compartment that is the same as the Gixxer. The lack of fuel injection technology does not effect on the power output and fuel economy as the air-cooled and single cylinder motor return 14.6 BHP of power at 8000 RPM and 14 NM of torque at 6000 RPM. The engine is mated to a 5 speed manual gearbox. The engine is blessed with a SEP technology, which will deliver excellent power output without compromising fuel economy. The company claimed fuel economy of the faired version is 63.5 KMPL that is quite enough for daily purpose cruising.

The Version 2.0 has adopted Yamaha’s reliable technology named ‘Blue Core’ technology, which Yamaha recently debuted in the FZ version 2.0. The adopted technology claims to enhance the fuel economy of the motorcycle without compromising the power output and endow excellent performance. The motorcycle houses a 149cc engine, which is 4cc lower from the previous version, that actually produces lower power output than its predecessor. The four-stroke, air-cooled and fuel injection motor return 13 BHP of power at 8000 RPM and 12.8 Nm of torque at 6000 RPM. The engine comes mated to a five-speed transmission. Yamaha claims that this engine is 14 per cent more fuel efficient than the earlier 153cc motor.

The Suzuki Gixxer SF is built in well manner from each dimension as the motorcycle has 2050mm of length, 785mm of width and 1085mm of height, whereas the ground clearance of this motorcycle is 160mm. The Gixxer SF weighs 139 KG, which make it quite accessible in city traffic or open roads. The seat height is 780mm from the tarmac.

The Yamaha Fazer FI version 2.0 offers excellent ride quality and balancing power as the motorcycle has a length of 1990 mm, width of 760 mm and a height of 1115 mm that make it easy to ride. Moreover, it measures seat height of 790mm from the tarmac. The weight of this motorcycle is just 137, which is 2KG lighter than Gixxer SF.

The Gixxer SF is literally built around on the stiff chassis that contributes with front telescopic suspension and rear mono-shock absorber. The responsive suspension has been used to enhance stability both at low and high speed. The stopping power is controlled by a front disc brake and rear drum brake.
