Raj Thackeray endorses Modi and will contest candidates in Lok Sabha Elections 2014
Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) Chief Raj Thackeray said on Sunday that he will support Modi. He also said that if Narendra Modi will become Prime Minister, then MNS’s party will support Modi after they win.
MNS also will contest in Lok Sabha elections 2014 against Shiv Sena and BJP. Raj Thackeray fielded 6 candidates against Shiv Sena and one candidate against BJP. MNS Chief Raj was speaking at the 8th Foundation Day. Former BJP president Nitin Gadkari met with Raj Thackeray and said about not to field candidates against NDA to avoid vote division against Congress.
Raj said that he will not field candidates from Mumbai against BJP but elsewhere they will be in competition. He said to their cadre, “We will be contesting Lok Sabha polls and my MPs will be backing BJP’s Narendra Modi as prime ministerial candidate. So now all of you should get to work and back him 100%.”
BJP has appreciated the step of MNS. Raj has announced to field his candidates in Mumbai for same seats where Shiv Sena’s candidates will contest. MNS legislative leader, Bala Nandgaonkar has been fielded from Mumbai South against Congress MP Milind Deora. Aditya Shirodkar of MNS will contest against Shiv Sena candidate Rahul Shewale from Mumbai South Central.
Second list of 7-8 candidates will be presented soon by MNS. It perfectly showed that MNS would be fielding for 17-20 seats.
