New 2018 Maruti Ciaz Facelift Vs Old One: Know The Difference
Maruti Suzuki has introduced the updated Ciaz in the country, putting older version aside, the new Ciaz and maruti suzuki new cars get aesthetic and mechanical revisions.
Considering the dimension measure and front fascia, it has similarities with the previous 2018 Ciaz. Therefore, expect the facelifted sedan to get more space like the predecessor. The Maruti Ciaz price ranges from 819000 to 1097000 and it is the best considering interior and rear occupants space. Here is the comparison between the new and old Ciaz:
Interior Detail:
There are no much visible changes you will find considering the interior detailing of the car. The layout is the same as before, a new light shade of dark brown faux wood inlays makes their way on door and dashboard. The instrument cluster is as well revised and feels more premium now. It gets a new color in 4.2-inch MID and new dials with Ciaz petrol.

The Ciaz is also updated with cruise control attached on the right spoke of the steering wheel.
Exterior Design:
The front face is also updated with pointier appearance. The horizontal-slat setup has been taken place with a studded and sleeker grille. The slightly revised headlamps as well get the revised addition along with LED DRLs. You will also notice the new bumper and LED fog lamps rather than halogen units available in the previous version.
Considering the side profile, it is just similar to the old Ciaz. Although, it now obtains a new 16-inch dual-tone machine made alloys with the same tire size of 195/55 R16. The 15-inch steel wheels and alloy wheels available in the lower variants will continue along with tire size of 185/65 R15. The Delta variant also obtains 15-inch alloy wheels like the Zeta variant.
The rear portion also remained the same with some interior changes. The rear bumper obtains a silver or chrome colored bezel and taillamps obtain LED inserts near the reflector housing.
Features:
The updated Ciaz new model gets more features now as compared to the predecessor. The update list comprises adjustable rear headrests, cruise control, LED DRLs, taillamps with LED element, LED fog lamps, 7-inch infotainment system, LED projectors for headlamps, reverse parking camera, Apple CarPlay, auto dimming IRVM, Android Auto, push-button engine start/stop, auto dimming IRVM, and auto climate control.
Coming to the safety, an old one has ISOFIX child seat anchors, ABS with EBD, and dual front airbags, whereas the older one obtains seatbelt reminder (SBR), speed alert system (SAS) and rear parking sensors. It also updated with electronic stability program for hill-hold, but it is available with the petrol automatic trim only.

Color Schemes:
It comes with two new color paints which are Premium Silver and Magma Gray. Whereas the Premium Silver takes the place of the Silky Silver and the Magma Gray takes the position of the Glistening Gray. Other colors from the previous model are forwarded to the facelift as well.
Powertrain:
The 2018 Maruti Ciaz takes power from a 1.5-litre petrol powertrain generating a peak power of 12PS and a peak torque of 8Nm than the 1.4-litre engine of the previous model. With the Smart Hybrid tech, it becomes more frugal. The new Ciaz petrol gets SHVS technology.
It comes mated to the same a 4-speed AT and a 5-speed MT like before. Whereas the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz obtains a new petrol engine, the diesel variant gets the same Fiat-borrowed engine, paired to a 5-speed manual transmission option.
Price:
The company has increased the amount of the new petrol engine Ciaz, but the diesel engine has been reduced in price as well with a price tag in the range of Rs. 8.19 lakh to Rs 10.97 lakh.
