Mumbai’s Top Hotels are Likely to be Full Reserved During “Make in India” Event
You all know very well about the event Make in India, which has started by our Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 25 September 2014. The event will be conducted in the Bandra-Kurla Complex later this month and all the premium hotel chains in Mumbai are likely to be fully booked during this event. Delegates from more than 1000 companies across 60 countries are expected to check-in at top hotel chains, including Oberoi, The Leela, Taj, Marriott to attend it.
The Make in India event will be organized by the department of industrial policy and promotion (DIPP) and the ministry of commerce & industry between 13 to 18 February 2016. It’s considered that through this event around 7-10% revenue will be boosted for hotel chains and also it will be one of the busiest months for the industry.
Mr. Philippe Charraudeau, Vice-President (west) and General Manager (GM) at ITC Maratha said,
“Both the ITC Hotels properties are sold out and seeing higher demand for food and beverage venues. The surge in business is not just room sales, but also in other aspects of business leading to incremental growth”.
French hospitality chain AccorHotels’ luxury brand Sofitel and the Oberoi Group’s Trident Hotel in the Bandra-Kurla complex are likely to do a heavy business as both the properties are located near to the MMRDA ground, which is the venue for the event. Hotel chains are planning to cater “Made in India” themed menu to the delegates, who are anticipated to stay with them.
St Regis, the luxurious brand of Starwood Hotels situated in central Mumbai has created a special team to look after the culinary requirements of the six foreign delegations, which will be staying at there.
