From the latest survey of 2012, the company has 1700 offices and 14,850 employees across Bihar. It has electricity generation capacity of 530 MW. BSEB has 5 branches which were established in year 2011. The branches are responsible for different duties including Power Generation, Power Transmission, Power Distribution (for north and south zone) and Power Holding.
