India Gets Six Planet Hollywood Restaurants Soon
Sachiin Joshi– an actor and entrepreneur, who operate Viiking Ventures is now aiming to open the six Planet Hollywood in the country. Out of them, three would be probably started by the end of 2016 in Gurgaon, Mumbai and Bengaluru respectively. Viiking Ventures is the leading corporate company, deals with FMCG products and also franchisee of the Planet Hollywood brand in India.
Currently, the company runs two properties, one is Planet Hollywood Beach Resort, Goa and second one is the Beatle Hotel in Powai, Mumbai. And, there will be six more properties in Delhi, Pune, Hyderabad, and Ahmedabad respectively. Sachiin Joshi stated,
“We are in talks for six restaurants. Three of them have already been converted. It will be taken 15-18 months after signing. These are larger format restaurants- not just 5000-6000 sq ft, but about 30,000 sq ft area. We will be managing he restaurants”.
The company has big plans for the expansion regarding the outlets of the Planet Hollywood. In the upcoming years, around 10-12 branches, including both restaurants and hotels would be opened of its. Since 2002, Viiking Ventures had entered in the hospitality sector and now looking for alcohol business by acquiring brands such as, Single Malt, Scotch, whiskies and much more.
Earlier, Sachiin Joshi had invested INR 90 crore in obtaining the Goa’s favourite beer brand, King’s Beer, which is now rebranded as Goa Kings. Also, the packaging of the product has been changed with a redesigned crowd and embossed logo. The upcoming restaurants will mostly in the metro and Tier I cities as the company gets a huge amount of profit from these cities.
At present, the brand-Kings Beer is only available at Goa, but the company will be taking it in the Maharashtra by mid of August followed by Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
