Happy Teachers Day 2013
Indians celebrate Teacher’s Day every year on September 5. This day is celebrated on the Birth Day of our Honorable First Vice President and Second President Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. He was born on September 5, 1888 and died on April 17, 1975. He had worked on the post of the Vice President of India from May 13, 1952 to May 12, 1962 and on the post of the President of India from May 13, 1962 to May 13, 1967. Dr. Radhakrishnan was awarded with the highest civilian award in India “Bharat Ratna”, in 1954 and got so many honors from various sides in the world. After the Indian Independence he was ceased to use the title “Sir”.
This is not a World Teacher’s Day which is celebrated across the world on October 5. All countries celebrate their Teacher’s day on dissimilar dates. The Guru Purnima is also celebrated in India and Nepal on Ashad Sukla Purnima that falls in Mid-July.
The Teacher’s Day is celebrated with honor and respect in all Schools, Colleges and Universities. On this day, teachers and students go their institutions as usual but classes are replaced by celebration. All the responsibilities are on the senior students and juniors took a little part. They organize a grand party in order to give Honor and respect to their teachers. In reply, teachers motivate them for their bright future.
