Volkswagen too being in the rivals launched another model in the premium hatchback series, namely Volkswagen Polo in the range of INR 5.3 lacs to INR 8.6 lacs.

The Fiat Punto Evo features a set of newly designed alloy wheels, a modified headlight cluster, powerful halogen lamps and turn indicators. The bonnet too gets a slight modification with four expressive lines, and is accompanied by a windscreen washer. Its front bumper now has a wider air intake section along with a pair of refined fog lamp consoles The rear bumper is in body color and is affixed with a pair of brake lights. It is further designed with expressive chrome strips and the taillight cluster has been placed on the C pillar, which is now powered by LED lights. On the insides, the seats are now covered with new fabric upholstery, the floor carpets are new with ‘Fiat‘ branding on them while the doors sills with company’s name embedded in them.

The Volkswagen Polo on the contrary comes with halogen headlights fitted at the front, wide front radiator grille decorated with chrome strips, front and rear bumpers. The bumpers on the rear side are additionally fitted with reflectors, which is an extra advantage. The windscreen is built with a heat insulating quality to it. On the interior fronts, the seats are now dressed up with a new set of covers, the doors have grab handles for passenger convenience, the central console gets brushed aluminum coating. The Emotion trim with 1368cc Fire motor can achieve a top speed in the range of 155 to 165 Kmph and can breach the100 Kmph speed barrier in about 15 to 16 seconds. The Sport trim also has the same top speed, but it takes only 14.33 seconds to clock 100 Kmph mark.

In case of the Volkswagen Polo, apart from the GT TSI, all the other variants are mated with a five speed manual transmission gearbox. The diesel options, which are integrated with 1.5-liter mill, can reach a maximum speed of 165 Kmph and can breach the 100 Kmph mark in just about 14 seconds. Whereas, the petrol trims equipped with 1.2-liter in-line motor that can touch the 100 Kmph mark is 13 to 15 seconds and can achieve a top speed of 145 to 150 Kmph quite easily.
