Cambay Tiger Plans to Expand its Branches Across India
One of the top seafood brands Cambay Tiger is now planning to expand its outlets across the country. The company has declared about its plans, and this time, it is looking for Tier II and Tier III cities.
Talking about its plans, Mr. Shivam Gupta, who is the director of West Coast Fine Foods, a frozen food manufacturer and distributor and the parent company of Cambay Tiger, told that,
“We are looking at a pan India presence for Cambay Tiger and will soon be able to include cities, such as Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Srinagar, Shimla, Solan, Pondicheery, Karaikal, Madurai, and Coachin for distribution”.
Apart, from these, the company has more plans to enter in the U.S.A. Market. Mr. Gupta also told that,
“They will be setting up an R&D facility in Surat”.
The Cambay Tiger provides foods and drinks to the Indian HORECA segment by its online portal www.horecaservice.in and also exports Raw shrimps along with many products.
Mr. Gupta added,
“We make available various fishes from across the world for our Indian consumers and even bring in exotic spices with the most recent one being Hake from Uruguay. This year we’re looking at creating a basket that should consist of Mahi Mahi, Grouper, Squid and Trout among others”.
Mr. Gupta also discussed the frozen food industry and the various challenges and stated that,
“The frozen food industry is growing at 14-18% per annum and India’s seafood exports have crossed one million ton mark for the first time, earning over US$ 4.5 billion in 2013-14. However, Indian exporters still face issues regarding cold chain infrastructure and government policies”.
