Affordable CNG Cars Available in India
From a long time, private car buyers have not bought the CNG-powered cars. But as the price of petrol is rising day by day and is affecting the budget of the house, CNG is coming to trend as it is the best option for the buyers. CNG pump is not available easily as of petrol and diesel, and it cannot be denied that CNG is cheaper than petrol and diesel. Given below are the list of the CNG cars which are currently on sale in India:
Tata Nano EMax XM CNG
With a factory-fit CNG kit, Tata Nano eMax is the cheapest and affordable car in India. The mini Tata comes with a 12-litre CNG tank with the efficiency of 36km per kg of CNG with an approximate range of 400km. Even note that there is limited stock available at selected dealers of Nano eMax.

Maruti Suzuki ALto 800 LXI CNG
In Maruti’s lineup, the Maruti Suzuki Alto 800 is the smallest offering. When running on CNG, it is powered by a 796cc, 3 cylinder petrol engine which gives 40hp of power and 60Nm of torque and is coupled with a five-speed manual gearbox. Alto 800 has the fuel economy of 33.44km/kg.

Maruti Suzuki Eeco STD 5 Seater CNG
The Maruti Suzuki Eeco comes coupled to a 1.2-litre engine which gives 64hp when running on CNG and 73hp when running on petrol. In CNG guise, the Eeco gives 21.8km/kg. It also provides comfort as it can also be a passenger carrier.

Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 LXI (O) CNG-
The Alto K10 comes with the option of a factory-fitted CNG kit with GPI technology on the LXI (O) variant and is powered by Maruti’s 1.0-litre K-series engine. The K10’s engine makes 58hp and 78Nm and delivers a claimed 32.36km/kg fuel efficiency, in the CNG guise.

Maruti Suzuki Wagon R LXI CNG
Same as Alto K10, the Maruti Wagon R is powered by the 1.0-litre K-series petrol engine and when fueled by CNG, it gives 58hp and 78Nm. While the LXI variant comes with a factory-fitted CNG kit. Same as Maruti CNG cars, the Wagon R comes with i-GPI technology which claims fuel economy of 26.6km/kg.

Maruti Suzuki Celerio VXI CNG
From the factory assembly, the Maruti Celerio Green comes equipped with a CNG kit with the ‘Intelligent-Gas Port Injection’ technology. The Celerio Green comes with the 1.0-litre K-series powerplant as the petrol and gives out 58hp and 78Nm, approximately 10hp and 12Nm less than the petrol-powered version and it claims that Celerio Green will do 31.76km/kg.

Hyundai Santro Magna CNG
The new Hyundai Santro is also available as the factory-fitted CNG kit. When running on CNG, the 1.1-litre petrol motor produces 59hp and 84Nm. The Hyundai comes in two mid-spec variants with the higher Sportz trim getting segment first features like a touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto compatibility and Apple CarPlay and rear AC vents.

Maruti Suzuki Ertiga VXI CNG
Ertiga CNG, available in the mid-spec VXI trim has an affirmed mileage of 22.80km/kg. When fueled with CNG, the 1.4-litre engine produces 80hp of power and 112Nm of torque. The next version of the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga is set to launch in November 2018 which makes the older version preferably out from the market.

Hyundai Grand i10 CNG
The Grand i10 comes equipped with a factory-fitted CNG kit for Rs 68,000 based on the ex-showroom price of the Asta trim level. Unlike earlier models, this car keeps the warranty of the car intact. Power is drawn from a reduced version of the 1.2-litre Kappa2 petrol engine seen on the standard car.
Hyundai Xcent CNG
Same as Hyundai Grand i10, with a CNG option, Hyundai also offers the Hyundai Xcent compact sedan. Same like Grand i10, Hyundai will cost extra Rs 68,000 over the ex-showroom price. Same reduced 1.2-litre Kappa2 petrol motor as its hatchback sibling is used in the car.
Honda Amaze CNG
Honda Amaze CNG comes with a factory-fitted CNG kit on the 1.2 S MT Plus variant. Over the ex-showroom price of the variant, the kit and its installation will cost an extra Rs 54,315. It is priced at Rs 6.07 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) which means that the final ex-showroom price for the model is Rs 6.61 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Note:- All these models are factory-fitted CNG kit and there are dealers which provide CNG as an add-on option which is not listed above.
