Difference Between: New Maruti Celerio 2018 vs Old Maruti Celerio
The festive season is on and the India’s largest car manufacturer, Maruti Suzuki has introduced the facelift trim of Celerio hatchback in the country to boost up the sales. Well, there is no much difference in the models from different model years. Besides getting subtle cosmetic changes and added features the new 2018 is packed with the same powertrain under the hood.

Let’s start with the alterations observed at the city car’s skin. The most significant changes which will be noticed in a single glimpse at front fascia of the car is a newly designed mesh upper grille with chrome finish at the top, hexagonal mesh lower grille and much promising bumper with fresh fog lamp bezel set. While at the rear, the 2018 Celerio is furnished with a new bumper and tailgate following modern design language.
Interiors
Moving inside the cabin, you will find a perfect blend of new black and greige theme. However, the top end touchscreen infotainment system once again is not the part of instrument console. The carmaker did a great job on the safety front as the city car now fulfills all the necessary pedestrian, offset and side impact regulations. Standard safety fitments include Driver-side airbag and driver side seat belt while the front passenger airbag and ABS are optional extras across the range.

Dimensions
Dimensionally, the new Maruti Celerio is around 95mm longer than the previous model with measuring 3,695 mm in length, 1,600 mm in width and 1,560 mm in height.
Mechanicals
Mechanically, the car is loaded with the same K10B 1.0-litre three-cylinder engine that is rated to churn out the peak power of 50kW(67.02hp) and 90Nm of torque. The CNG-compliant version is still continued with the facelift and now claimed to generate 43.5 kW (59 PS) and 78 Nm of torque in CNG mode. A 5-speed manual and 5-speed automated manual are two options for the transmission duties. While the AMT option is still limited with the petrol model.
