It is being that speculated that flagship OnePlus 7 will come with the support of 5G network but it seems that the company has some different plans. One of the spokespersons of the company stated that the OnePlus will be planning to create a new lineup of 5G ready device which is expected to be unveiled in the first six- months of 2019. It looks like that the company would either demonstrate the phone or a framework at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2019 which is set to be conducted in Barcelona, Spain.
One major shift we expect from OnePlus’ stable is that of pricing. The company has been increasing the base price of its smartphones over the years and with 5G being a hot new feature, one could expect OnePlus to cash in all its chips with the new line-up one 5G compatible phones.
2. Huawei
Huawei is one of the biggest promoters of 5G network technology. Huawei, the Chinese tech giant has been known for the development of 5G network equipment and chips, as thousands of engineers have been working to offer first Huawei 5G ready device. It seems that the Huawei would unveil its first 5G technology smartphone in either in the first or second quarter of 2019. The rumors on the internet suggesting that Huawei Mate 30 is likely to come with the support of 5G network technology. Furthermore, the Huawei 5G mobile hotspot device is expected to be unveiled sometime in the second quarter of n Q2 of 2019.
In India, the test trial of the 5G network has been organized by Huawei in collaboration with Airtel which held at Airtel’s Network Experience Centre in Manesar (Gurugram). During the test trial, a speed of more than 3Gbps was observed by the user.

3. Xiaomi
It is confirmed that the upcoming Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 will come with the support of 5G technology. A teaser image of Mi Mix 3 has been shared by Xiaomi President Lei Jun wherein the device is running on 5G network. Mi Mix 3 which is being discussed right now will be coupled with the next generation Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor which is said to come with the support of 5G network technology and 10GB of RAM. The flagship Mi Mix 3 is expected to be unveiled in the third quarter of 2019.
4. Nokia
In February 2018, Qualcomm, chipset manufacturing had already announced that it has partnered with 18 OEMs and one of them is HMD global, the manufacturer of Nokia phones to launch 5G enabled smartphones. The Nokia first 5G network smartphone could be unveiled in 2019. The Nokia 5G ready device will be based on Qualcomm’s X50 5G modem, as Nokia has collaborated with Qualcomm to launch its 5G network device.
During the test trial of X50 5G modem, Qualcomm is capable to achieve more than a gigabit per second of download speeds for 5G network connection.
As of now, we don’t know that which Nokia phone will come with the support of 5G network but we know that Nokia has started doing the testing on 5G technology.
5. Vivo
Qualcomm X50 modem has been used by Vivo in its Nex S smartphone. The Vivo stated that it has successfully completed the first phase of testing of 5G technology. Now the company has to focus to create first 5G ready device and the company is planning to unveil the first batch of commercial 5G devices in 2019. According to Vivo, China OEMs and Qualcomm play a vital role for unveiling 5G ready device so China would be the first country to introduce 5G network smartphone. It is anticipating that 5G network device would also be showcased in India as well. But the question arises that whether India will be ready to adopt 5G networks in 2019.
6. Oppo
Oppo, which is a sister company of Vivo has successfully completed the 5G tests by utilizing the Qualcomm X50 modem on an altered device of the Oppo R15 smartphone. Oppo has plans to launch its first 5G ready device in 2019.
7. HTC
Currently, HTC has been facing a downturn in its smartphone segment business as the company has reduced the staff recently. According to Senior RF designer Kevin Duo, the Taiwanese tech giant has been working on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 and the Snapdragon X50 5G-ready modem device, that pointing towards the company could be planning to unveil its 5G ready device by 2019. The detailed information about the HTC first 5G network smartphone is not available at the moment.

8. Lenovo and Moto
Chang Cheng, who is a Vice president of the Lenovo company claimed that the company has been working on the 5G network technology. Cheng has claimed on the Chinese micro-blogging website Weibo – that the world’s first 5G smartphone would be unveiled by Lenovo which could be embedded with Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor. If Lenovo gets ready with the 5G enabled smartphone it simply means that Moto is also working on the 5G network technology. Even, Moto’s 5G Moto Mod with inbuilt Snapdragon X50 5G modem has been successfully tested. It is assuming that the Lenovo and Moto will be the first two companies to introduce the 5G network in India.
9. Samsung Galaxy S10
The upcoming Samsung Galaxy S10 has been trending in the news from some period of time and there are rumors that the device will come with a special 5G variant sometimes in 2019. The company’s owned new Exynos Modem 5100 has been announced by the company and the company claims. ” industry’s first 5G modem that is fully compatible with 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) Release 15.” It is being speculated that Samsung would unveil four new Galaxy S series smartphone on the completion of its tenth anniversary. Out of them, three smartphones are expected to be unveiled in between Feb- March 2019, whereas the fourth one 5G- enabled smartphone could be unveiled later.
10. LG
