46 Years of Struggle for Jan Lokpal bill: Still Continue or Get Passed this Year
The air of election now has ended but another has begun. In coming time the Lok Sabha election is going to be held but the on the other hand stage is set for another confrontation on the highly publicized Lokpal bill in parliament which is discussed to be brought before Rajya Sabha. Some parties are in favor of Lok bill and some are not and if it passed then they want it little bit amended but BJP is insisting that it will not accept any dilution in the proposed legislation.
Jan Lokpal bill is 46 years of struggle that is still continuing and for which Anna Hazare also went on for hunger strike. If it would get passed then it would be perhaps easy to curb corruption and it is a priority for the government. Parliamentary affairs minister Kamal Nath said this. However, it could be troublesome for BJP because there is something brewing within the UPA and its outside supporters that will oppose the bill in Rajya Sabha if it will be brought there.
While Sushma Swaraj and Arun Jaitley said that the UPA government has lost the legitimacy and BJP is saying that they are ready for cooperation for nation providing Lokpal bill.
